Australian Broadcasting Corporation Expands Reliance on NETIA's Radio-Assist 7.5 Software for A-Z Content Management

CLARET, France - July 31, 2006 - NETIA announced today that the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has purchased NETIA's Radio-Assist' 7.5 digital audio content management software solution for on-air delivery in all seven of its News and Current Affairs and Radio networks across Australia. The system will be installed over the next 18 months by NETIA's Australian agent, Syncrotech Systems Pty Ltd and the ABC.

The newly purchased Radio-Assist program replaces the current NETIA solution and D-CART systems and will be installed on up to 5000 workstations across approximately 75 of ABC's capital city, regional, metropolitan, and output sites.

"NETIA was successful over all contenders in the marketplace because of their proven ability to deliver an advanced content management system that meets and exceeds ABC's expanding needs while maintaining an easy to use approach," said Paul Heaton, managing director, Syncrotech Systems Pty. Ltd. "This project is highly exciting as it will refine the operational and distributional methods of radio broadcasting."

The NETIA Radio Assist 7.5 software will now be utilized throughout the entire ABC Radio Network, and includes a high level of integration with iNews for the News Department, As a result, ABC's network traffic will also increase.

To address this, NETIA's USHARE integrated bandwidth management tool was integrated into the Radio Assist software to optimize the exchange of audio and video content throughout the network without incurring additional bandwidth costs. This ensured a complete broadcast, production, delivery, distribution and bandwidth management/archive solution for ABC.

The Radio-Assist 7.5 range of digital audio software programs covers the entire operation of a radio station, from production to broadcast, including acquisition, sound-file editing, commercial and music production, scheduling, multicasting, administration, and more.
