CABSAT 2008 March 4-6- - Stand ZABEEL ZI23 - Dubaï International Convention & Exhibition Center

Radio-Assist :

The Radio-AssistTM 7.5 range of digital audio software programs covers the entire operation of a radio station. Each stage is covered from production to broadcast: acquisition, sound file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom system, scheduling, multicasting, administration, etc. Radio-Assist TM 7.5 provides simultaneous access to several products. With a single application, the user can record, edit or prepare a playlist.

A) Supports for 5.1 and 7.1 Audio From Acquisition Through to Broadcast

NETIA today announced that its Radio-Assist TM 7.5 range of digital audio software programs now supports both 5.1 and 7.1 multichannel audio from acquisition through to broadcast. With this latest enhancement to Radio-Assist TM, users can record an input containing up to 5+1 or 7+1 channels, edit that content using NETIA's Snippet tool, and broadcast finished media through the Air-Cartstack application included in Radio-Assist TM 7.5..

B) Feed-in IP Mode

NETIA's Feed-In is used for day-to-day scheduling of all automatic recordings of external programs. At CABSAT 2008, NETIA will highlight its new IP version of the software solution which allows Radio-Assist TM users to record continuous RTP inputs or scheduled programs without the need for a sound card. Feed-in IP mode offers eight (8) inputs which can be simultaneously recorded per computer.

The Radio-Assist TM 7.5 range of digital audio software programs covers each part of the production and broadcast workflow, allowing users to record, edit, or prepare a playlist. Radio-Assist TM features tools for acquisition, sound-file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom systems, scheduling, multicasting, administration, and more. With its modular structure, it can adapt to the different requirements of radio facilities and integrate rapidly into an existing environment. Equipped with new features that further enrich production and playout processes, Radio-Assist TM 7.5 offers a one-stop solution that enables even more flexible handling of media.

C) Radio-Assist Digital Audio Software - U-Share Integration

At CABSAT 2008, NETIA will demonstrate how its U-Share network management system has been integrated into Radio-Assist TM 7.5 to simplify the distribution of audio content from one site to multiple destination sites.

U-Share automates the exchange of content over the latest transmission platforms - IP transport or DVB video transport - for easy management of content distribution to the right place, at the right time.

Other content exchanges can be organized according to priority with flexible options for setting and modifying transmission schedules. U-Share optimizes the exchange of video and audio content through autonomous and automatic management of its transport network. For each transfer request in a given time slot, U-Share offers the best solution for the current network congestion, thus considerably reducing transfer costs.

Manreo :

Manreo is a range of software offering immediate productivity gains in the Media Asset Management and Rich Media fields. Its tools include software packages and customizable solutions. Manreo Software addresses the problems of a range of professionals who manage and add value to media: digitization, editing of raw footage, indexing, archiving, browsing. Owing to its video product range Manreo, NETIA offers content providers with the tools to manage their entire processes, form acquisition to multi-support broadcast (radio wave, Internet, mobile phones, etc).

A) Manreo Video Software Featuring Video Recorder and Web 2.0 Modules

Warehouse Web 2.0

Visitors to NETIA's CABSAT booth will be able to catch a demonstration of the company's Warehouse Web Version 2.0 audio and video broadcast and display platform that can provide new services and revenue opportunities for Manreo users. This full-featured software solution provides companies with a system for centralizing, sharing, and viewing audio, image, and video archives, and broadcasting them across multiple distribution channels (Web portals, mobile devices, ADSL, etc.). Because Warehouse Web 2.0 has been developed using the REST (Representational State Transfer) architecture and includes Xml Web Services, it now offers up to four easy-to use interfaces, making it more ergonomic and powerful to use.

Warehouse Web's Catalog Interface offers Manreo users a global view on all files and metadata, along with more powerful searches. The Terminology Interface manages the Thesaurus and allows users to add, delete, and modify words and interaction between words. The Media Interface manages the storage of both audio and video files. Using this interface, users can view various files and file format support. Finally, Warehouse Web's Monitoring Interface lets the user track file conversion and publishing workflows to various platforms including mobile phones.

Manreo Video Recorder Module

The new video recorder module within the Manreo suite is used to acquire and digitize videos from tape. With functionality including start, stop, forward, rewind, etc., Manreo TM Video Recorder controls the VTR and launches the acquisition and digitization (MPEG-2 with MainConcept) process. For TV stations and other media companies with large stores of tape-based archives, Manreo TM Video Recorder enables migration to lossless and more secure digital storage.

The migration of media libraries to digital is critical to preserving media, but it also can be a very demanding process. This latest addition to the Manreo TMproduct line uses the RS-232 and RS-422 protocol to control external VTRs and allows users to connect a jog/shuttle control via USB port for easy navigation. The operator can watch video as the media is being digitized, plus in and out points can be marked to create a clip or even a new video, produced automatically from a series of marked segments.

Media Logging :

NETIA will also be highlighting its Media LoggingTM range at CABSAT. This range of solutions meets the increased worldwide demand for radio and TV monitoring systems by carrying out the capture, indexing, transcoding, and distribution of audio and video content. Broadcasters, telecom and mobile phone operators, and Internet companies use Media Logging for continuous capture of video and audio files, 24 hours a day. Each file is examined individually, segmented, and completed with the necessary associated metadata - in an automatic or semi-automatic mode - through the use of sophisticated new speech-to-text and image recognition techniques.
