Module Exp 3 : Advanced editing

This training is designed for radio technicians and, in some cases, journalists needing to use advanced editing functions.
The tabs involved are: multi-track, production, stretch and export.

Whenthis module is complete the trainees will be able to:

• use the advanced "Snippet" functions;

• use multi-track editing;

• name clips;

• find edited items in the database;

• modify an edited item;

• stretch a sound file;

• produce an item;

• export an item.

Programme

1. Advanced play functions.

   • Looped playback using "Snippet".

2. Moving sequences within a file.

   • Using the cut / copy / paste functions.
     

   • Moving sequences within a file.

3. Cut points.

   • Modifying cut points.
     

   • Naming clips.
     

   • Keyboard shortcuts.
     

4. Stretching a file.

   • Stretching a file and insertion into an edited item.
     

5. Producing a file.

   • Positioning lead-in, relay, intro and outro points.
     

6. Exporting a file.

   • Exporting a file from the database to various targets.
